Cannon School plans homecoming Oct. 21-22

CONCORD ó More than 40 years of school pride will be on display at Cannon Schoolís first homecoming weekend celebration, to be held Oct. 21-22 on the schoolís Concord campus. Cannon School families and graduates of Cannon School and its predecessor school, Cabarrus Academy, are invited to join the celebration.
A pep rally and bonfire will kick off festivities on the evening of Friday, Oct. 21. Saturdayís events include an inaugural homecoming 5K race open to Cannon families, alumni and friends, a family carnival and parade, and the crowning of the homecoming court.
Cannon will honor its state championship-winning varsity softball team during a celebration preceding the varsity football teamís game against Carolina Pride.
A five-year reunion reception will be held for the 56 members of the class of 2006 at the Wine Room in Concord.
