Southern Spring Home and Garden Show coming to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Daffodils, tulips and other blossoms will adorn Belgard Garden’s displays at the Southern Spring Home and Garden Show, running Feb. 29-March 4 at The Park Expo and Conference Center.

And in the background, the glorious music of Vivaldi, Cole Porter and more will set the tone for this year’s theme, “Rhythm In Bloom.”

For the 52nd consecutive year, the South’s largest flower, landscaping, remodeling and home-improvement show will draw visitors from across the region to learn new gardening techniques, see landscaping designs, talk to hundreds of exhibitors, find the latest in decorating secrets, and meet celebrity guests who will share their expertise to make gardens and interiors absolutely beautiful yet eco-friendly and economically pleasing.

IDS Designer Rooms will feature the most innovative and current colors and styles of furniture, window and wall coverings, kitchen and bath layouts, and architectural delights.

Home décor, furnishings and artwork will be offered for sale.

Setting the stage for what’s new in the world of flowers is a new feature area designed by area florists, including Elizabeth House, The Blossom Shop and more.

Bring your camera, pads and pencils, and list of questions, and attend the variety of spectacular demonstrations on everything from nourishing tree seedlings to planting fruits and vegetables, and many “how-to” tips on the latest and best do-it-yourself projects for your home.

Birds In  Bloom Magazine’s popular contributing writer, book author, radio personality and gardening and landscaping guru, Melinda Myers, will be at the show on Wednesday, Feb. 29 and Thursday, March 1 to talk about the newest trends to make the outside of your house as appealing as the inside.
