Rowan Public Library will host a “Going Green” workshop on March 24 at the South Rowan branch.
The third installment in the library’s “Learn. Act. Grown” series, this workshop will teach participants how to prepare spinach, kale and other greens. Morrison Food Services employees Lisa Westfall, a dietician, and Chris Herron, executive chef, will lead the program.
Samples and recipes will be available for participants to take home. There will also be a chance to win door prizes, and participants who attend four of the five “Learn. Act. Grown” workshops will be entered to win a grand prize.
The workshop will be from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. The South Rowan Regional Library is at 920 Kimball Road, China Grove.
All ages welcome, but anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. While there is no charge to participate, registration is required. Visit www.rowanpubliclibrary.org or call 704-216-7734 to register or for more information.
